Fireworks are a beloved tradition on Independence Day and using them requires care in order to prevent personal injuries and wildfires.
According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), children younger than 15 years of age accounted for almost one-quarter (23%) of the estimated 2021 injuries. These injury estimates were obtained or derived from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s 2021 Fireworks Annual Report.
