LaMoure County Hazard Mitigation Plan Survey and Input

LaMoure County is updating the Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan (MHMP) in 2025. More information about the plan update can be found here: https://www.paramountplanning.net/pages/lamoureountymhmp.php

Take the Survey:  Hazazrd Mitigation Survey

The MHMP identifies community profiles and characteristics, prioritizes local hazards of concern, and identifies mitigation strategies which are used to target improvement projects, lessening the effects of disasters on the community. A 5-year plan revision and approval is a requirement for certain types of mitigation funding programs from the state and federal governments. The current plan (2020) can be found here: https://lamourecountynd.com/hazard-mitigation-plan-update

The LaMoure County MHMP is a multi-jurisdictional plan that covers LaMoure County, including the cities of Berlin, Dickey, Edgeley, Jud, Kulm, LaMoure, Marion, and Verona. Individual city meetings to discuss hazards and mitigation will occur in July and August.  Public participation is strongly encouraged throughout the planning process. The public may provide comments, ask questions, and provide input via email at krobbins@nd.gov or by calling 883-6096 to complete a survey and provide information.
